CECA is the acronym of Canadian Electrical Contractors Association, which is a branch under National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). The CECA/NECA Student Chapter at the University of Toronto enables members to connect with industry representatives in the field of electrical contracting.

We aim to enhance the student experience by providing students with opportunities to get field exposure and learn practical aspects of sustainable building innovation and construction management, as well as networking and career building opportunities. Additionally, students will get an opportunity to explore the basic aspects of the Building Information Modelling (BIM) process and can go through the process of responding to a request for proposal (RFP).

The club also allows students to get practical knowledge on running an organization by becoming either team leaders of projects or executive members of the club. In doing so, students will develop and perfect leadership, team working and project management skills.
